First Day of School!! August 25, 2010

Riley started his first day of 1st grade today! It's his first time eating lunch at school! He wasn't nervous at all, but I was concerned about whether he was going to be able to handle it, he did just fine. I guess he's just growing up and doesn't need me as much anymore.
Once again he left as soon as the bell rang and he didn't even give me a hug good-bye.

Bath time!!

Chase has finally learned how to enjoy his baths. Look at that splashing!!

Bee's Game

Since Riley played baseball and Cody was the coach, we got free tickets to the Bee's game.
We had awesome seats. The only bad thing was that it was really stormy that night. When we first got there it started pouring. Luckily it stopped shortly after it started and it only sprinkled on us for a minute during the game.

Doesn't Riley look thrilled in this picture. I don't know what his problem was, I don't think he wanted to eat his hot dog.
He was much happier when he got the foam finger.

July 2010

July was another fun-filled month. We started with spending the 4th of July with my parents.

Now that Lagoon no longer does fireworks we had to go somewhere else to watch the fireworks. We were able to go with Hope and Brian to his Uncle's to watch Davis High's fireworks.

Waiting for the fireworks to start.
We had Carma and Chad came for a visit and we took the kids to the zoo.
Chase enjoying a sno-cone.
We went to Tracy Aviary.
Later in the month we went to Idaho. We got to go boating. It was Chase's first boating trip.
Riley was able to drive the boat.
We went to the horse races in Ammon, Idaho.
Riley picked the first winner! In fact of all his picks, none of them were lower than 2nd place!
We also took the family to the drive-in. Thanks to Cody's dad we were able to travel in style and comfort. We saw Toy Story 3 and the Sorcerer's Apprentice. Amazingly enough, Riley stayed awake through both movies!
Finally, we went to the Ammon pool and took Chase swimming for the first time.
The water totally wiped out Chase, he fell asleep only minutes after I took him out of the pool and got him snuggled in a towel.
We came back to Utah and we went to the Ogden Dinosaur Park.
To finish out the month we took our very first Thompson Family camping trip! We went to a campground by Squaw Peak in Provo with Cody's friend and co-worker Todd and his kids.
After dinner the kids and the dads went geocaching, little did they know that they'd end up hiking over a mile. But at least they found what they were looking for.

Chase did awesome, he slept so good. Unfortunately, we had some noisy neighbors and we weren't able to go to sleep until after 1:00 a.m. and then we were up around 6:30 a.m. Oh well, we still had a great time. It was a perfect way to end our summer.
